Focus Mint

For this blend Mystic Cup uses: Peppermint, Ginkgo leaves, Orange, Turmeric, Pumpkin pieces, Safflower petals.

Upon opening the tea pouch you are instantly hit with the peppermint aroma. This is the primary scent with a slightly down to earth undertone of the turmeric and ginkgo leaves.

Let’s Get Brewing!

The aroma whilst brewing isn’t too dissimilar to that of its dry state. Peppermint is the primary flavour but there is now a light floral hint.

The brewed liquid is that of a yellowy green.

Let’s Get Sipping!

First sip and I am hooked. I love a mint tea and the use of the peppermint just adds a further detail to refresh your body and mind. The peppermint is less harsh compared to other mints but packs the flavour.

The use of the peppermint is the most prominent flavour as well as the smell. The use of the turmeric is reflected in the blends colouring but also adding an earthy undertone and light after taste.

The use of the orange and the pumpkin bring an added lightness and almost fruityness to each sip which lightly cuts through the peppermint. Adding a new depth to each sip yet quiets doing so.

This blend is really refreshing and is a kick to all the senses. Waking up your mind an almost distraction a kick to the senses that keep you not just “focused” but grounded too.

Happy Sipping 🙂
