Corfu Tea Travels

Time for Tea Please?
It’s time for my second summer adventure! This time I’m heading back to one of my fave places Corfu.

For our base we stayed in Kassiopi, a harbour town to the north of the island.
It’s beautiful day….

Or night!

IMG_5426

And don’t get me started on how good these chicken gyros are!

IMG_5405

But it’s tea travels so first stop is always the supermarket !

IMG_5451
For once a selection of teas you can’t bye back in England, which is all part of tea adventures.

I was even lucky enough to find a selection of loose leaf teas whilst visiting Acharavi.

I may have purchased one or two to take home.

The other bonus of tea travels isn’t just the tea but also having the chance to explore a new place, country and culture. So here’s a quick glimpse of what else I got up to!

Gozo Tea Travels

Time for Tea Please?

It’s summer!
After facing redundancy with what else was I supposed to do yet get on a plane for a much needed escape and some much needed traveling. I love exploring new countries, cultures and over course their tea!

First stop this summer is Gozo.

For those of you who don’t know Gozo is the sister island of Malta.

Well on the tea front my hotel definitely didn’t disappoint!

IMG_5387
A mug of Twinings English Breakfast was the perfect choice plus 4 other Twinings selection for breakfast too.

Now speaking of breakfasts …..

IMG_5230
I certainly enjoyed my maple bacon pancakes with a side of tea and biscotti!

It also wouldn’t be me without stumbling into the tea Isle

IMG_5289
I just love checking out what other countries have on offer. I was quite surprised with how much was on offer as coffee certainly seems to be prominent. I have a feeling it may have something to do with its closeness to Italy as the food served in restaurants certainly reflected that.

IMG_5151

IMG_5181
Not that I was complaining as I love pizza and pasta! Yummmmm

Now if the food or the tea doesn’t persuade you Gozo might be up your street maybe some of the landscape might!

Tea Travels Iceland

Time for Tea Please?

I love a Tea Travel and having the chance to explore a different place or country to where I live. There’s a whole world out there to explore and new teas to find ! So Iceland here I come !

Like any new adventure a mug of tea to kick start it.

A mug of Earl Grey by Gestus . Served to me black just the way I like it.

IMG_4674

For a first time try of Gestus Earl Grey, I really enjoyed it. The aroma was very distinctly that of any earl grey tea from anywhere in the world . It was punchy and strong with a light floral tone to it. A perfect cuppa for a tea break.

In Iceland there isn’t much of a tea selection on offer like I’m used to in the UK. Which is mainly down to the locals telling me that coffee is much more favoured to tea. As you can see from this photo taken in a supermarket the little choice on offer.

IMG_4713

Now finding tea wasn’t the only reason for choosing Iceland but it was certainly going to fuel my way round the country. This time my adventures round Iceland is being made possible thanks to Mink Campers.

IMG_4807
With the help of mink campers I’m able to explore and camp my way round Iceland in complete comfort, while creating those all important memories and exploring the Icelandic landscape. In the Mink there isn’t just gas for my all important cups of tea in the mini kitchen: there’s heating , solar power for charging devices via USB, lighting, sound system and even its own Wifi!

To Glacier Lagoons

IMG_4785

Brewing with a view is certainly a highlight of the trip, as well all know how important a good cup of tea gets you through the day!

IMG_4736

As well as being lucky enough to glimpse an Arctic Fox.

IMG_4659
And some puffins !

IMG_4645

Oh and relaxing in a hot spring or two!
