Today I have chosen to open tea caddy of the Herbal and Fruit Tea. Each caddy is vibrant and inviting and it certainly catches your attention. Each caddy comes with 6 individually wrapped tea pops 2 in each flavour.

Passion Fruit Punch

For the makings of this gourmet tea pop , Tea-Pop uses – 100% Natural mint tea leaves and plants. When opening the tea pop pouch however it doesn’t smell very minty the fruity sides of the teas name sake is more apparent.

Let’s Get Brewing!

One perk of this tea is that’s brewing is made super simple , just pop your tea pop in a mug and pour over with either hot or cold water ! Today I’m going for hot!

The brewing time is instant ! Which saves a good few minutes of waiting around! Always handy when in a rush.

One thing i wasn’t expecting it though was the colour of the brewed liquid. It’s more of a greeny Brown in its colouring I guess i was thinking it would be more pink based on the colour of the pop.

The aroma from its pop state also changes. It turns a way from its more fruity notes to more of a floraly type one.

Let’s get sipping !

First sip and I’m not going to lie I was a little perplexed . It doesn’t taste anything like I expected it too. Given the name of the tea passion fruit I was expecting the tea to be a lot more fruity than it turned out to be. I can still just about get very light hints of passion fruit but it’s not the screaming overall flavour. Although given its use of mint tea leaves this is a lot closer to the taste of what I’m sipping.

It’s not an unpleasant sipping experience it’s just not what I was expecting it to taste like. Maybe I’ve used too much water , maybe it would be better if I used to 2 pops or would it taste better cold? All plausible reasons to which could effect its taste.

It’s not a majorly sweet tea which given it’s natural and herbal uses was to be expected. Looking forward to trying more of Tea Pops teas and seeing their outcomes.

Happy Sipping 🙂
