St. Clements Lemon

As soon as you open the little box you are instantly engulfed with a wave of lemongrass and ginger. It’s super punchy which is giving a great vibe for this tea. It’s not until a closer sniffing that fruity citrus tones of the orange and mandarin start to peep through.

For this tea blend Joes Tea Co uses: Lemongrass, orange peel, ginger, natural orange flavour, mandarin flavour.

Let’s get brewing!

Upon brewing the tea and the aroma continues to intensify and the lemongrass becomes the biggest smell.

As to be expected given the ingredients within the blend the brewed liquid is of a yellowy Orange.

Let’s get sipping

First sip is just tealicious like it’s aroma it’s sip is punchy and flavoursome. Like I find with a lot of teas they can be what I like to call a 2 part sip. Where you start off with one flavour and finish’s with a second. With this tea the first part is the lemongrass and ginger followed by the second part of orange and clementine.

The only downside of a 2 part sip tea is that some of the flavours instead of blending together they are slightly more separated than blended as one.

Although with this tea the lemongrass is the most prominent flavour but the citrus flavours make a refreshing fruity after taste.

Happy Sipping 🙂
