L’ATELIERduThe – James and The Giant Peach Tea

Time for Tea Please?

Today I’m sipping on James and The Giant Peach Tea from L’ATELIERduThé. I love the name so much and obviously straight think of the movie/book and can i visage a massive peach in a tree with James and the creep crawlies. Tea and adventures are a perfect match so hopefully this tea will be too.

I absolutely love the wooden tea caddy that it comes in. Its not like anything I’ve seen before so love the uniqueness it brings. Even more so when it says that it’s completely compostable too.

L’ATELIERduThé is a French tea company, which fuses their rich Chinese heritage with their French Palates to blend high quality global teas that taste great. Along with working with a Eco-conscious mindset.

Upon opening the tea caddy you can instantly smell the sweet peach aroma and earthy Oolong .

Let’s get brewing!

Whilst brewing the aroma of the tea doesn’t overly change from its dry state other than the peach becoming more prominent.

The brewed liquid of a yellowy colour which slightly different to what I was expecting. For some reason I was thinking it would be more green.

First sip is tealicious , I am pleasantly surprised. I think it’s probably down to the tea having a green tinge that in my mind I feel I’m drinking a green tea when actually it’s oolong. The main tea body of the tea has an almost earthiness to it. It’s very light in its flavour and just as your half way through the sip of the oolong aspect of the tea you are hit with the sweet punch of apricot. Which is really refreshing and lifts the tea to another level.

The aspects of the tea and fruit flavour work perfectly together and compliment each other very well. Neither over power each other which is a perfect balance within a blend.
This is a perfect afternoon sipping tea , the sun is shining and everything’s good and covid19 is at the back of the mind for a few minutes of tea pleasure.

Happy Sipping 🙂
