Jay and Co. as the name suggests was founded by Jay who has meticulously researched for authentic teas. Who bases his principles on quality , taste and community. With his mission being “to help coffee lovers and tea fans enjoy the finest flavours from around the world – at an affordable price”. Where he has researched and searched for quality products which delivers in taste but also is a fair deal on farmers.

Creating a beverage that makes time for you , a moment to relax of sharing time with others. Creating an experience from the drinking experience. Which is just a lovely way to think about tea.

Black Tea with Mango and Passion

For this blend Jay and Co. uses: Indian Black Tea, Mango , Passion Fruit and Papaya.

Upon opening the tea pouch you are instantly engulfed with the fruity aromas of the mango and passion depth with added earthiness from the black tea.

The blend it self is so pretty to look at with the colours standing out against the black tea.

Let’s get brewing!

The aroma whilst brewing isn’t too dissimilar from its dry state. Other than the black tea aspects brewing through stronger.

As expected with any black based tea the brewed liquid is of a dark brown in colouring.

Let’s get sipping!

First sip is just tealicious. Its sweet yet sharp and provides contrast and texture through each sip, the balance of the flavours is just perfect considering how contrasted it can be. The fruity aspects of the tea are sweet and punchy and add an exotic twist to the tea. It’s natural sweetness just adds a summery vibe to the taste experience. Extra depth of flavour is added to the tea through the use of floral tones of rose petals , cornflower and sunflower. It doesn’t just look pretty within the dry blend it adds a lightness and almost delicate aspect to the tea which you don’t always get with black based teas.

Due to the added flavourings within the black tea I choose to drink it without milk as to me it just doesn’t right, however tea is a unique sipping experience so if you wish to drink it with milk go for it ! This blend is a perfect afternoon sipping blend with fruit and floral tones for a refreshing afternoon tea fix.

Happy Sipping 🙂
